Pricing and fees

How much does Fungies cost?

5% + $0.50 per successful sale. There's no monthly fee, no setup cost and no per-seat charge, so you only pay when you sell. If you process high volumes, contact us for custom pricing. See Platform Fees.

What's included in the fee?

Everything you need to sell online:

• Payment processing across all supported payment methods
• Tax calculation, collection and remittance worldwide (VAT, GST, sales tax)
• Fraud screening
• Chargeback and dispute handling
• Hosted, overlay and embedded checkout, your store builder and the customer portal
• Subscriptions, free trials, discount codes, invoices and email notifications
• The API, webhooks, the MCP server and the CLI

Are there any other fees?

No hidden ones. There's no fee per dispute, no fee per payout and no minimum payout amount set by Fungies. Your bank may charge its own fees for receiving international transfers.

Payments

Which payment methods can my customers use?

Cards, digital wallets, PayPal, bank redirects, Buy Now Pay Later, SEPA Direct Debit and vouchers. Customers see the methods available in their country and currency automatically. Sellers in eligible countries can also accept crypto and stablecoins.

Which countries are supported?

Customers can buy from almost anywhere in the world. Sellers can sign up from the countries listed in Global Availability, which also lists payout currencies and minimums.

Merchant of Record

What does "Merchant of Record" mean for me?

Fungies is the legal seller of your products. We process each payment, calculate and collect the right sales tax or VAT, file and pay it to tax authorities, and take on payment liability such as fraud and chargebacks. You receive your net revenue and don't need to register for tax in every country you sell to. See Tax-Inclusive Pricing.

Who handles refunds?

Fungies does, as your Merchant of Record. Customers can ask for a refund by emailing support@fungies.io, where every request gets a ticket number, or they can contact you directly. Refunded orders show as REFUNDED or PARTIALLY_REFUNDED, and you get a Payment Refunded webhook. See Refunds and Chargebacks.

Who handles chargebacks and disputes?

Fungies. We respond to disputes with the card networks and payment providers for you, and there's no fee per dispute. We may ask you for proof of delivery, such as a download or key activation, to win a dispute.

How and when do I get paid?

Payouts go automatically to your connected bank account every day. Your first payout usually arrives 7–14 days after your first live payment; after that, funds arrive on a rolling daily schedule. To switch to manual payouts, email support@fungies.io with your workspace name. See Payouts and Connect Your Stripe Account.

Will my customers get invoices?

Yes, business customers do. When they add their company and tax details at checkout, they get an email with a link to their invoice. This works for one-time payments and subscriptions. See Invoices and Receipts and Billing Details.

Setting up your store

How do I start selling?

New workspaces can't take live payments until they're verified. Go to Settings → Store, click Add Business Details and fill in the activation form. We review most requests within 24 hours. See Workspace Verification.

What can't I sell on Fungies?

Anything illegal, harmful or high-risk, plus sales involving sanctioned countries and persons. The full list is in Prohibited Business and Products. If you're unsure, ask us before you start selling.

Which checkout should I use?

• Hosted checkout: a ready-made checkout page on your store. No code needed.
• Overlay checkout: a pop-up checkout that opens from a button in your website or app.
• Embedded checkout: the checkout inside your own page.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. You can serve your store from your own domain, for example store.yourgame.com. See Set Up Custom Domain.

For developers

What is the Fungies API?

A REST API at https://api.fungies.io/v0 for working with your store from your own code: products, offers, orders, subscriptions, users and payments. Read requests need your public key in the x-fngs-public-key header. Write requests (POST, PATCH, DELETE) also need your secret key in the x-fngs-secret-key header. Keep the secret key on your server and never put it in front-end code. See Getting Started with the API.

What are webhooks, and how do I handle them?

Webhooks are messages Fungies sends to your server when something happens, such as a successful payment, a refund or a subscription change. Use them to give access, send keys or update your database.

1. Add your endpoint under Developers → Webhooks and copy its secret.
2. In your handler, verify the x-fngs-signature header with that secret before you trust the request.
3. Reply with a 2xx status quickly, then do any slow work in the background.
4. Make your handler safe to run twice for the same event, because a webhook can be retried.

Where is Test Mode?

At the bottom of the left menu in your dashboard. Turn on the Test Mode switch and a purple TEST MODE banner shows at the top while it's on. Test Mode has its own pub_test_ and sec_test_ API keys, its own webhooks and its own data, and it uses the same API address. Nothing you do there moves real money. See Test Mode.

How do I make a test payment?

In Test Mode, pay with the card number 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry date and any 3-digit CVC. Other test cards let you try declines, 3D Secure and disputes. See Test Payments.

Can I manage my store with AI tools?

Yes. The Fungies MCP server connects AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and VS Code to your store, so you can list orders, create products or manage subscriptions in plain language. For scripts and the terminal, use the Fungies CLI.

Can my customers manage their own purchases?

Yes. The customer portal lets customers see their orders, download files, view their game keys and manage or cancel subscriptions without contacting you. See Portal Access and Branding and Core Features.
